Varca Beach

Varca Beach in Salcete taluka is a broad, clean stretch of white sand south of Benaulim. It is known as one of the most peaceful beaches in South Goa, with fewer shacks and a more spacious feel. Many of Goa's large luxury resorts are located behind the dunes here, giving the area an upmarket character. Local fishermen still bring their boats ashore, and dolphin-watching boat trips are popular. The beach slopes gently, making it good for swimming in calm conditions. Visitors come here for long, quiet walks and sunsets over the Arabian Sea. The village of Varca has old churches and Portuguese-style houses. It is worth the trip for a calm, uncrowded beach experience.
